sunday 9 may 2010 - french rivera to venice, italy

we left the beautiful french rivera and made our way to beautiful italy! hooray! and i was already liking the sound of italy with the pasta and pizza and gelato, and its fate was sealed with the first truck stop we made. its cheaper here! and they had chocolate on sale! so i bought two blocks :) a girl can never have too much chocolate and its been a week!
ive lost my voice due to my cold, so ive been trying not to talk, which is a struggle of course, and then when i do say something, everyone is like ‘what?’ so i give up!
we stopped in Verona on the way to the campsite, and saw a huge building thing that i dont know what its called, but i took a photo anyway

and we also got to visit where the famous juliet scene was filmed. there is a wall covered in love messages, and if you go to the statue of juliette and touch her right breast it will apparently bring you good luck in love :)

we arrived at the campsite and greeted the contiki reps with a giant group hug, and enjoyed delicious spaghetti bolagnaise and ice cream for dinner :)
