tuesday 11 may 2010 - venice to florence with pisa stopover

Thursday, May 20, 2010 | |

today we headed out from venice to florence. on the way we stopped at pisa, it is so crazy when you first see it through the archway

it is tipped over so far! its been corrected half way up by the looks of it, but i dont understand how its still standing, its like a game of jenga gone REALLY wrong!
zsofi set us a challenge to come up with creative photos of ourselves with the tower of pisa, as well as getting the typical leaning on it ones
there was an amazing doorway on the church, but no one was looking at it, they were all sheltering from the rain against it and staring at the tower of pisa, so everyone was looking at me strangely when i seemed to be taking photos of them!

there was also amazing churches there, so i got photos of the outside, but we didnt realise you needed to pay to get in until about 20mins before we had to leave, so there wasnt time to go inside. plus im a bit sick of paying 6 euros to get into alot of the churches!

we headed to the campsite and got there, we had quite big cabins, but they were unbelievably damp! and the mains to the heating was turned off, so all of us that had colds suffered with the damp quite a bit. joseph turned on the extractor fan in the kitchenette and that helped a bit. after dinner everyone headed out for kareoke and drinks, but since i still currently have no voice, i didnt bother going, and opted to stay back with some of the girls and chill out and work on my photos, so they are all up to date now, im just waiting for cheap-ish internet so i can upload them! [it takes me 30-60mins per daily blog to upload it, ive prewritten all of these posts to save time, but at 3 euro an hour, its adding up! florence is 3.50 euro for 30mins, so im definately not uploading here! that $14NZ dollars an hour!!!
[sorry for the pictures looking skew, the uploader is so slow its mucking up! :(]
