WEEK 17 - ORLANDO, FLORIDA - tuesday 17 august 2010

Saturday, August 28, 2010 | |

today dawned beautiful and sunny, with glorious rays on sunshine shining and no stormy clouds for our exciting adventure to disneyland. i cant believe we get to go as guests! how cool is that?!
we met marys husband jason at the gate, and he escorted us in, and then showed us around epcot. oh my goodness its AMAZING!
if you were like us and thinking wow, US$85 per world [theres 4 worlds] is rather pricey, you just wait till you go inside! [im feeling VERY ripped off by wet n wild, it was US$53 each and it had average slides, you are better off in the gold coast at wet n wild or white water world, the rides are better and the lines are shorter!and its cheaper!]
once you are inside disney, the only thing you pay for is food and drink. you are not allowed to tip anyone. there are endless activities to do, craft things for the kids, shows, meet a real fireman, meet disney characters, endless shops everywhere... you could spend 2 weeks here and not get bored! there are shows being performed all the time, parades through the streets, entertainers, its just magical!
jason showed us around the epcot part of disney....

we went to the coca cola place where you can drink free samples of coke products from around the world! so cool!

we then went on a space ride, in which you sit in a capsule thing that makes you feel like you are on a space ship with g-forces and stuff, and its spins you around so fast, i felt sick for about two hours afterwards! but it was still so cool! i could not be an astronaut!

we then went and watched Marys show 'whats your problem?', talking about how cool and useful velcro is... i had to fill bags of toys and stick them to joseph [yay i won!] and then tsuru had to change babies nappies, it was so funny! of course, we all got stickers for being winners, very exciting, i love stickers :)

we spent a few hours at epcot, and then caught the monorail over to the magic kingdom. they even have photographers who take pictures for you on their cameras and you can buy the pictures, and if you have a camera, they take a picture on your camera and they dont even mind!

we played on rides all day, ate way too much ice cream, and watched the afternoon parade.

in the evening the had an electric parade, sooooo cool!
unfortunately there were annoying people who stood up at the front of the parade with their video cameras and blocked everyones view, so i my great angle for the parade was ruined, so the photos are not the best angle, but hey, its better than nothing.

when the fireworks came on, everyone was sitting bar these three idiots, who decided to stand and block other peoples views. everyone started chanting ‘sit down, sit down’ and this guy just would not sit! he jsut said ‘when it starts, i wont be in the way’. someone else yelled ‘move your fat ass!’ and everyone laughed, but alas, he still did not move. i think he had arrogant ‘cough’ syndrome. if he’d been standing infront of me, i prob wouldve moved to stand infront of him to see how he likes it, since im taller :)
anyway, enough ranting, the fireworks show was incredible, i got video and photo footage of it.

we headed home and collapsed into bed, so exhausted!
