this morning we awoke to sunshine! hooray! and humidity! double hooray! we said our goodbyes to jason and left early, as he had to go to work at 7am. we went to an ihop and had a fruit salad for breakfast [the food over here is wrecking havoc with our tummies, need to eat salads!], then headed over to the kennedy space center at 9am. they are doing the final shuttle launch at the end of this year sometime there and all the residents are worried about the area, because loads of people are going to lose their jobs [they are moving the launches to russia to save money apparently].
anyway, the space center was too cool! we got to see a huge space ship, and rockets, nea displays and two imax movies about the hubble telescope and the apollo missions to the moon. amazing movies. really well done. there were more things you could do there, including a 3 hour bus tour, but we didnt have time to go as the only times they had left were 1.30pm and we had to leave for miami at 4pm, so we skipped it.
at 1pm we headed over to cocoa beach area and hung out with robert, susans husband whom we met on saturday night, and he made us amazing coffees, and served us delicious fresh mango YUM! and we played with their cute animals...
finally we headed down to miami to Juan’s house, our couchsurfing host that we are staying with. he sounds super lovely, and after meeting him, he definately is super lovely! he is house sitting and looking after his cousins dog, Juanita, she is soooo cute! he cooked us an amazing columbian style dinner and then we relaxed with a swim in the pool, a lovely end to a long day.
