WEEK 11 - NETHERLANDS - saturday 10 july 2010

today we went out with marina, jose and marinas brother rens, and her mother [josephs auntie] liesje on rens’ boat on a tour of amsterdam.
it is a piping hot day, so we are lucky with the weather. we spent the whole afternoon sailing along, admiring all the views, commenting on all of the house boats, and picking out which ones we’d choose for ourselves :)





we stopped for a drink at a bar [its so cool that you can park your boat and grab a drink!]

and then carried on sailing around the old town of amsterdam.
at about 6pm we headed back to the cars.

we cruised over to joses house and had scrummy thai food, and played with her two cats milo and yedda, a siamese and an oriental. all round an excellent day hanging out with the family and enjoying the sun. this is the life! :)
