WEEK 7 - CROATIA - dubrovnik - friday 11 june 2010

today we headed down to the local shops and ferry in Cavtat and ferried across to Dubrovnik.

in dubrovnik we enjoyed the sun and playing with parrots [as you do!], we enjoyed  browsing in shops and looked around, and stopped at a scrummy cafe for a lovely long lunch :)

fiona ash and i strolled the city walls from the top, admired the views and met some lovely people from greece, who said theyd love to visit nz, so i gave them my email, and said id give them all the info theyd need to have a nice holiday, who knows, one day we might hear from them! :)

we headed back to cavtat and jumped into our togs and had a swim, it was SO lovely! it is 33 degrees today and the water is so warm, so it was very refreshing!

we headed back to the apartment and had a snooze then headed out for a late dinner at restaurant Ivan, which was SO yum, sitting by the water and watching soccer on the big tv [table service slowed down anytime something exciting happened on screen, as all the waiters stopped to watch haha]. overall, an amazing day, and a lovely introduction for fiona and ash to croatia :)
tomorrow we head to korcula, which should be exciting :)
