WEEK 8 - CROATIA - pupnat - friday 18 june - tuesday 22 june 2010

Thursday, July 22, 2010 | |

today fiona and nada headed out for the weekend to visit family that fiona hadnt met yet. it is also josephs 28th birthday, hooray! in celebration of this, croatia gave joseph a public holiday! hooray! which means.... NO public transport! yay! and we cant walk anywhere decent, without a 3km walk back up the side of a mountain. so we decided to stay home and play with the kittens. they are so cute and are growing so fast now that they are getting fed regularly. i know that when we leave, nada will be giving them a few scraps, but at least i helped them get a bit more plumped up and a bit more energy for them and the mum cat Swirly, so she can catch them lots of rats for dinner.
ash took us out for dinner for josephs birthday to Mate, the local restaurant.

we spent the rest of the weekend reading and going for walks around the town, and playing with the kittens. again. i wish id realised how ‘relaxing’ pupnat was going to be, i would have brought my cross stitch to do! i never have time to do it at home, and its the perfect activity for quiet days.

on tuesday we headed back into civilisation for a look around korcula again, and check emails and relax in the sun. oh and we bought the most MASSIVE watermelon! its huge! but tasted gross....
